Dj Selector j... A name which is not just a dj alias , but a name that was forged and rewarded to him by the streets. Selector J got his humble beginnings as just a kid who loved to be in the club, but always had an ear for music. He tuned in to the Djs and was amazed at how the control of the club came from the dj booth. It was then that he decided that in the booth is where he belonged. Through odd jobs good and bad J, along with Tyler ( Dj Trouble T) and Ab (Dj A-Fresh) put their money together and bought their first piece of equipment and Fireman Djs were born. Through long nights of networking making connections a home was found and the strip club was home. The Players Club was the place in which he learned the basics and mechanics of playing music. From there the it was full force ahead and no looking back doing house parties, block parties, weddings, mixtapes, and clubs. Even doing a European night. It was then when the attention was gained from Bigga Rankin and Hollywood Shane , from which an invitation to join the elite Cool Runnings Djs was given and another world opened up. Selector has played in front of thousands of people at a time across the country and orchestrated the place into pure mayhem. Mix shows and mix tapes are a major byproduct of his love for the game, his most recent being "Feeling Myself" by MannyG and a segment on a live Mixshow on 93.3 the beat .
