“It was all just for fun, then it became my work.” Said Whyte Gurl Promo as she describes her journey into the music industry. Rookie small town promoter quickly climbed the ladder in the music industry. Leah Woodie, also known as Whyte Gurl Promo, started by handing out club flyers & artist mixtapes for a local rap label, Rich Thug Entertainment, based out of her hometown of Bradenton Fl. From there she was asked to help manage & book artist signed to the label such as Rich Thug, Slugga & Gio Baby to just name a few. In 2015 Whyte Gurl Promo was nominated & awarded “Female Promoter of the Year” in the All Florida Awards.
As a Full Time Dental assistant in 2016, Whyte Gurl Promo decided it was in her best interest to do a career change. Her passion for music made a huge impact on her next decision in life to enroll in Full Sail University, where she advances her education in Music Management. As her career picked up working with three #DiamondAward winning artist, her paths crossed at a Street & Greet put on in Tampa Fl by OG Bigga Rankin & his team. With lots of networking events, dedication to show up to support at shows in her reach & proving endless amounts of loyalty to the industry, Whyte Gurl Promo is one of the newest members to #TeamBiggaRankin. Yet this is only just the beginning for her career.
